Set in beautiful grounds, just 150 metres from Lake Windermere in the village of Bowness, Burnside Hotel & Spa has an on-site spa with a poolside seating and bar, two hot tubs, a sauna, a steam room and a plunge pool. Within the spa is a pub serving real ale and bar meals. There is a restaurant, a cinema, and free fibre-optic broadband. The restaurant serves both modern and traditional cuisine, using local produce. Overlooking the garden, there are also views of the lake. The bar provides a light menu and guests can take afternoon tea or dine on the lake view terrace. The bright and modern rooms offer a 40-inch flat-screen TV and free tea/coffee. Each room at the Burnside also has warm, colourful décor. Every private bathroom has a hairdryer. Some have private balconies with hot tubs. In the Lake District, the Burnside offers free parking and is 30 minutes’ drive from the M6. Shops, boutiques and restaurants in the centre of Bowness are a 2-minute walk away.

Refurbishment of the spa building is ongoing and the property's swimming pool is closed from 9 January until 13 January 2017. Burnside Spa offers a swimming pool, sauna, steam room and two feature hot tubs. Our Beauty Rooms are now open as well as our new traditional pub Romney's serving traditional food and real ales each day. Our cinema shows children's films at 18:00 and 15+ films at 20:15. Refurbishment of the spa building is ongoing and our gym remains closed for refurbishment at this time. Extra beds and baby cots can be added to most rooms. Guests must contact the property before arrival to check that a Z-bed or baby cot can fit in the room booked. The cinema shows children's films at 18:00.
