Our small family run hotel offers a cosy and rustic ambience. In good weather you can enjoy the clean air of Friedrichroda at our beautiful beer garden. For hikers and train travellers we provide a shuttle service, furthermore there are ample parking lots available. For bicycles and motorbikes we also have locked storage facilities.

Our house is located in the pedestrian zone in the centre of Friedrichroda but also on the edge of the forest.

Travel information

You can reach us by the motorway A4 exit Githa Boxberg or Waltershausen, both slip roads towards Friedrichroda. Across from the church drive into Gartenstraße, then turn left into Burgstrasse. After approx. 80 meters straight on (between old house and wooden fence) left onto our parking lot.

Travel information

Take the A4 until the exit Gotha-Boxberg, and then continue in the direction of Schmalkalden/ Georgenthal. At Ort Schönau vor dem Walde you head for Finsterbergen. If you take the B 88 (Ohrdruf-Eisenach) you go in the direction of Engelsbach to Finsterbergen. Our hotel can be found in the middle of this city.
