Our restaurant presents itself under the new name "Le Loup". Our menue offers you alternatives of steaks, as well as outlandish fish dishes of fresh- and saltwater fishes. Opening times of the restaurant: closed on mondays and tuesdays, wednesday-sunday 11am-2pm and 5.30 pm- 10pm.

Located between the three large lakes of Altmühlsee, Großer Brombachsee and Kleiner Brombachsee, the hotel provides the ideal base for exploring nature in the Franconian Lake District and the Altmühltal Nature Park. Retrace the steps of the ancient Romans, visit castles and palaces, or delve into the age of the dinosaurs by visiting the Fossil Museum and quarries. The lake Altmühlsee lies just 1.2 kilometres away and can be reached via a cycle path. The other two lakes lie at a distance of 6 kilometres. Bicycles for long trips can be booked at Reception, where you will also receive maps showing cycle routes. Approximately 800 metres from the hotel you find an adventure pool with sauna village. During the summer, you can also visit the outdoor forest pool at Limes Gunzenhausen.

The Altmühltal Nature Park is an ideal spot for cycling, hiking and even boat rides. You can explore the Roman buildings, medieval churches and castles in the area. Day trip destinations include the Altmühltaler Mühlenmuseum (mill museum) and the Spielzeugmuseum (toy museum) in Beilngries. Our traditional hotel is located in the heart of the Franconian lake plateau, near the Altmuhl Promenade. The Altmuhl Bicycle Path passes right behind our house. The house has been a family property since 1864, and had extensively been refurbished in 1999. In the years 2006 and 2007, 14 additional rooms (from which 5 are with balcony) had been attached.
