Just 2 km from the Monte Pratello ski slopes, 2-star Garnì Le Ortensie offers a garden with gazebo and free bike hire. It includes a homemade continental breakfast and mountain-style rooms and suites. The breakfast buffet consists of freshly baked cakes, croissants and yoghurt, but also eggs and bacon and zabaione dessert. During winter and in July and August, you can have dinner in the elegant Abruzzo restaurant. Garnì Le Ortensie’s en suite rooms are set on the ground floor. They all have handmade wood furniture and a flat-screen satellite TV. Some include a mountain-view balcony. Suites come with elegant décor and textiles, and are set on the upper floors, reached by a staircase. Guests enjoy free use of the garden, which is also equipped with tables, chairs and children’s playground. Set 500 metres from the historic centre of Roccaraso, the property is 6 km from the mediaeval village of Pescocostanzo. Lake Barrea is a 30-minute drive away.

The restaurant is open for dinner from December until Easter and from July until the end of August.
