Erlebnishotel Sonnalp am Achensee is only a few steps away from the shore of Lake Achen and about a 10-minute walk from the swimming beach, the centre of Maurach, and the Rofan Cable Car. It offers a restaurant serving regional cuisine and a 500 m² spa area with a big indoor pool and a waterfall. Spa facilities include an aromatic steam bath, a Finnish sauna, a hot tub, a Kneipp basin, a bio sauna, and a selection of beauty treatments and massages. In winter, the free ski bus stops directly opposite the Sonnalp Erlebnishotel and takes you all 3 ski areas in the region. The cross-country ski runs (a total of 200 km) start opposite the car park. In summer, the hotel offers a large programme of activities, including guided hikes, archery, and bicycle tours.
