Nestled in a valley covered with woodlands and fruit trees, Aterra offers a luxury camping experience with natural wildlife surroundings. There is a freshwater lake, barbecue facilities and free Wi-Fi. Each individually decorated tent and tipi at Aterra features a small private sun deck with chairs and a large living area with a hand wash basin. There are shared outdoor bathroom facilities with a shower. A buffet breakfast is served daily either in-room or in the dining room where guests can enjoy dishes made from local produce. There are several restaurants and bars serving Portuguese cuisine and wines within a 10 minutes’ drive. Guests can relax in the seating areas, sunbathe lakeside or on the grasslands. Other activities include canoeing, hiking and cycling. There is a children's playground and bike hire is available. Zambujeira Beach and Parque Natural do Sudoeste Alentejano e Costa Vicentina are within a 15-minute drive. Faro Airport is a 1.5-hour drive away. An airport shuttle service is available upon request and the campsite offers free private parking.
