Featuring an outdoor pool and a fully equipped communal kitchen, Coolangatta YHA is just a 10-minute walk from Gold Coast Airport. The hostel offers a free shuttle bus service to nearby locations. Facilities at Coolangatta YHA Backpackers include a guest lounge area with cable TV, vending machines, table tennis and a pool table. There are 4 garden areas, a large dining area and a BBQ area. A guest laundry is also provided. Surfboards and bicycles are available to hire. The tour desk can book snorkelling trips, whale watching tours and surfing lessons. North Kirra Beach is only 150 metres away. All rooms include ceiling fans and have access to shared bathroom facilities. Secure private lockers are provided for all guests. Rooms with direct access to the courtyard are available.

Please note that there is a AUD $2.00 charge when you pay with a credit card. Children are welcome, but are not permitted to stay in dormitory rooms. Children aged 17 need a letter from a parent/legal guardian to stay in dormitory rooms. If children are 16 or under, they will need a parent/legal guardian aged over 21 to stay with them in a private room.
