Situated close to the Rothaarsteig hiking trail, this hotel in the Sauerland region is ideal for an active break in the wooded, mountainous countryside of the Rothaargebirge nature park. The cosy rooms of the family-run Landgasthof zum Sorpetal are upwards of 16 m² in size and feature hand-made furniture. The hotel’s restaurant and rustic pub offer hearty meals as part of half board. During good weather, dine on the terrace and admire the magnificent views of the Sorpetal (Sorpe valley). Visit the nearby towns of Schmallenberg and Winterberg (each a 15-minute drive away), or explore the area’s routes for hiking, cycling, motorcycling and skiing both downhill and cross-country. Free parking is available for motorbikes and there is an area for drying wet clothes.

Please note that extra beds/baby cots (see Hotel Policies) are only available on request. Guests wishing to hire a baby cot must bring baby bedding with them. For guests booking half board, a 5 course candlelit dinner on 24 December and a New Year's buffet on 31 December is included in the rate.
