Reachable only by the Sonnenalmbahn Cable Car, Berghotel Blaickner's Sonnalm is located on 1,400 metres above sea level on the south side of the Schmittenhöhe Mountain in Zell am See. Ski slopes and hiking paths are accessible directly from the property. The family-run hotel offers a spacious sun terrace with scenic views of the Hohe Tauern Mountain Range. After a day full of skiing or hiking, guests can relax in the outdoor hot tub or can have a glass of wine in front of the fireplace. Each of the individually furnished non-smoking rooms is equipped with solid wooden furnishings and free WiFi. Traditional and regional cuisine as well as Austrian wines are served at the on-site restaurant. Breakfast and half board are available. The closest bus and train station is 6 km away. From May to October, the SommerCard is included in the rate and offers several discounts and benefits such as free use of local cable cars.

Please note that Berghotel Blaickner's Sonnalm can only be reached by the Sonnenalmbahn Cable Car. Please note that this cable car only operates between 08:30 and 16:30 in winter and between 09:00 and 17:00 in summer. There is no other possibility to get to the valley after 16:30. Please note that the security deposit is only required between 1 May and 31 October. Please note that the restaurant does not serve halal food. A security deposit of EUR 200 is required upon arrival for incidentals. This deposit is fully refundable upon check-out and subject to a damage inspection of the accommodation.
