The family-run Hotel Johannis has a quiet location just outside Tirolo at an altitude of 600 metres. This 4-star superior hotel features a wellness centre with indoor pool, saunas and Kneipp hydrotherapy. Rooms here have a modern Alpine design and balconies overlooking the mountains or countryside. Each one also features free Wi-Fi and an LCD TV with satellite channels. The buffet breakfast is served outdoors in summer and includes homemade cakes and jams, cold meats, cheese and fruit. You can enjoy Italian and South Tyrol dishes at the restaurant or out on the terrace at dinner. The Johannis Hotel features a small gym and wellness facilities such as a steam bath, pool with hydromassage area and relaxation lounge. There is also a games room for children and a reading lounge with fireplace and collection of books. Free parking is provided and buses to Tirolo stop right outside. From Tirolo you can catch a bus to Merano, 5 minutes' drive away. Staff organise hiking expeditions once a week.
